It was no doubt a mother of all rallies in the history of Ikorodu division, as stated by one of the APC members on Thursday, 20th of July, 2017, when the big wigs and members of APC in Ikorodu division trooped out enmass to woo the hearts of the electorates in the local government election.
The election which is set to hold on Saturday, 22nd of July, 2017, has been witnessing Party candidates moving from one place to another to canvass for votes.
The journey began at Olubi street Ikorodu which saw the likes of the former SSG, Lagos State, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, former Commissioner for Agric and a renowned Educationist, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Member, federal House of Reps., Hon. Babajimi Benson, Majority Leader Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, Prince Lanre Sanusi, Alhaji R. I. Jinadu, among others.
They all trekked from Olubi street through Ireshe road and proceeded to the garage roundabout, sensitized the public to elect all APC Candidates on Saturday.
From Ikorodu roundabout, the campaign train headed to Odogunyan in Ikorodu North LCDA after which the entourage proceeded to Maya, Adamo, Isiu and Imota where hundreds of Party faithfuls had gathered at their popular roundabout market Imota.
The APC big wigs and hundreds of teeming supporters that visited Imota were welcomed with Asa's music and ushered them to the market square where the member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu constituency II, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka and the chairmanship candidate of Imota, Prince Wasiu Agoro were waiting to receive them.
However, before they proceeding to Ijede, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, one of the political strong pillars from Ikorodu threw her weight behind the candidature of Prince Wasiu Agoro and urged the residents of Imota LCDA to massively vote for him.
Asipa Kaoli Olusanya was so excited by the turn out of the people that received them. He therefore urges the electorates in Imota to give their votes to APC. He sounded very sure that the Mile 12 market brought to Imota, Rice factory and Industrial Park will be a starting point for Imota if voted APC.
"We are excited and can not afford to lose", that was the statement gathered from the mouth of Mr Folorunsho Falohun, the APC Chairman in Ijede when Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine questioned him. Shortly after this, the campaign train moved to Igbogbo where the Chairmanship Candidate, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini and the members of APC received them at Igbe junction.
The rally was taken round Igbogbo town before heading to Ikorodu West where Mrs Jimbo received the large crowd
When the Publisher, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Info Magazine, Mr Shakiru Seidu engaged Hon JB, SOB, Sholaja and Prince Sanusi on their expectations on Saturday and their massage to the electorates, they all exhibited confidence that the APC will win massively.
They therefore enjoined their teeming supporters and electorates to be law abiding and should desist from any form of criminality.
