LOCAL GOVERNMENT CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION VISIT IGBOGBO/BAIYEKU LCDA. | Shakiru Seidu. Better things ahead to be enjoyed by the Council, Basorun assured.

In a bid to ensure good welfarism and efficiency of workers, the Local Government Civil Service Commission visited Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA on Tuesday, 4th of July, 2017 at the Hallow Chamber in the Council premises.

The meeting which witnessed the high attendance of the staff saw the Commissioner, representing Epe Division,  Hon. Gabadeen Olabode who applauded the good work of the Local Council Staff.

He implored them to massively vote for all the APC candidates in the forth coming Local Government Election. Hon. Gabadeen therefore enjoined the Council to device strategic means to accelerate their IGR to enhance rapid development of the LCDA.

The commissioner from Lagos Island Division, Hon. Giwa Rasheed encouraged the staff of the Council to be industrious and to refrain from non-challant attitudes of any sort. Moreover he enjoined the Sole Admin and the entire staff to brace up within the shortest possible time and should follow the due process of law to resolve any differences.

Furthermore, the NULGE chairman, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa appreciated the team, the Sole Administrator, Chief Mrs Bolanle Basorun, and HOA, Alhaja Folashade Uzman for their display of exemplary leadership mannerism in the discharge of their duties. He however, urged them to make the welfare of the staff a paramount.

In the same vein, 6 dedicated staffers were honoured for their excellent performance. The beneficiaries are:
1. Oyafunke Kolawole (Audit Dept.)
2. Ologunde Aderonke  (Admin Dept.)
3. Longe Wahab (Admin Dept.)
4. Akinpelu Idris (Sole Admin)
5. Oduniyi Olufunke (finance)
6. Yusuf Taiba (Audit)

However, the Head of Admin, Alhaja Folashade Uzman thanked the team and applauded the staffers' cooperation. She was optimistic of better things in the offing.

The sole Administrator, Chief Mrs Bolanle Basorun was not left behind as she equally appreciated the Commission and quickly outlined her efforts towards sustaining the system.

She affirmed how she reduced the non pensionable from 200 to 86 staff. Mrs Basorun further assured the staff of better things ahead to be enjoyed by the council.

The commissioning of the newly constructed Borehole in the Council premises was done to round off the event.
