AMBODE SWORN-IN 57 COUNCIL CHAIRMEN IN LAGOS STATE AS DAINI ASSUMED DUTY IMMEDIATELY. | Shakiru Seidu.

"It was long awaited time that the good people of Lagos State had anticipated to unfold which will necessitate good governance at the grassroots" stated by one of the APC Chieftains at the Swearing-in ceremony.

Tuesday 25th of July, 2017, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode officially Sworn-in all the 57 Council chairmen who emerged winners in the just concluded Local Government election in Lagos State.

The Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Hon.  Olusesan Daini immediately assumed his dutiful post as he quickly paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Company of his Vice on the modalities to partner with the Ministry to accelerate rapid development of his Council.

The Special Adviser and Acting  Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, assured the Chairman of her total support and urged him to be sacrosanct and be pragmatic in running the affairs of the Council under him.

She equally implore the Vice chairman to accord him the adequate support and cooperation.  She was optimistic that dividends of democracy will soon smile at the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

However, after leaving the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Olusesan Daini paid a surprise visit to Igbogbo/Baiyeku Council to ascertain the State of the Council  and where to commence work.

Mrs. Fadiya Deborah gave a special prayer before the outgoing Sole Administrator, Chief Mrs Bolanle Basorun and the rest of the management team took him round the Council.

It was after that the outgoing Sole Administrator and Chairman engaged in a smooth discussion on proper handling over and some other crucial matters. The Swearing-in of the Councillors is said to hold on Wednesday, 26th of July, 2017.

Igbogbo/Baiyeku Info Magazine which was part of the whole process engaged the Chairman in a brief interview session where he said that,  "I am committed to serve diligently and assure you of government of inclusion". He therefore solicited for the support of well meaning and progressive residents in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
