ALIMI EXTENDS GENEROSITY TOWARDS OFFIN-ILE, ORETA AND BAIYEKU COMMUNITIES. | Shakiru Seidu

In preparation towards the forth coming Local Governments election, all aspiring candidates are beginning to canvass and galvanize votes from the people. On Sunday, 2nd of July, 2017, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, (APC ward C3 councillorship candidate) wooed the support of the youths as he made donations of sporting materials to the football teams of OFFIN/ORETA and BAIYEKU.

The anchor man, Elder Oluwole Shotala quickly ushered in Mr Ashifat from Oreta to say the opening prayer. Subsequently, the Baale of the community urged the residents to massively vote for all the APC candidates in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

However, one of the APC Leaders from Ward C3, Igbogbo, Alhaji Afolabi from Bayeku applauded Hon. Alimi's initiatives and enjoined the youth to vote him come July 22nd, because their vote will not be a waste.

In the same vein, Mr Ashifat from Oreta community urged the youths to be productive with their time, while he seized the opportunity to seek for their votes in favour of Hon. Nurudeen Alimi. He said, "He is the best man for the job."

In furtherance to this, Hon. Raheem Oke from Offin applauded the systematic method adopted by the Party leadership in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to ensure the zoning of councillorship in ward C3.

He said, Hon. Alimi will not disappoint them because he has served Ikorodu Division in various capacity. He therefore enjoined every youth to obtain their PVC as the only means to elect the man of their choice. He was so optimistic that Alimi will facilitate the construction of the dilapidated roads.

Nevertheless, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi heartily appreciated all the party leaders in ward C3 and promised never to disappoint them if voted in. "I promise to promote sporting activities in ward C3 and a sustainable annual football competition." He assuredly remarks.

Makinwa Abiola who represented youth from Offin-Ile Community pleaded for two things which are youth empowerment and good road to enhance the development of the communities.

While Oduala Afolabi of Bayeku and Friday Star from Oreta enjoined Hon. Alimi to bolster the youths and should endeavour to fulfill his campaign promises. Elder Oluwole Shotala urged the youths to speak with one voice.

On the final note, the Baale of Offin-Ile, Chief Oluwaseyi Alimi Olomo thanked everyone and urged the youths to massively support Hon. Nurudeen Alimi for the rapid development of Offin/Oreta with Baiyeku.

The presentation of sporting materials was thereafter made, while the programme was brought to a closed as Mrs Mutiat Oke gave the closing prayer.
