"Promise made, promise fulfilled!" was the song chanted by the Baiyeku Fishermen. This unfolded on Wednesday, 8th of February, 2017, when the A+ Vanguard, Ikorodu Division, presented Cast Nets to the Fishermen at the suburb of Igbogbo, called Baiyeku.
This was done in a bid to fulfill the campaign promise made by them while canvassing for the votes for the action Governor of Lagos State in 2015. The fishermen were so delighted to have witnessed such a magnanimous gesture at the time they least expect such.
However, the Baale of Baiyeku community, Chief Saheed Alaje Ajibode, expressed his appreciation and seized the opportunity to thank the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, for giving them a magnificent structure at the LG primary School, Baiyeku. In the same vein he appealed to the State government to assist in building fence for the School.
The head of the Egun community in Baiyeku, who received the Cast Nets on behalf of the fishermen, Chief Tosa Binuwa, thanked the A+ team led by their Chief Coordinator, Ikorodu division, Alhaji Muftau Abiodun, and further promised that their votes will never be given to any other Party but the APC government for keeping to their words.
Among the A+ Vanguard that presented the Cast Nets were the Chief Coordinator, Alhaji Muftau Abiodun, the Co-founders, Ikorodu division, Mr Taiwo Gbajumo and Mr Shakiru Odusanya, not forgetting the founder of A+ in Mushin Local Government, Mrs Ayoola Oyeyemi.
