FRESH AIR OF GREAT TRANSFORMATION ENSUING AS OBA KASALI HOSTED LAGOS STATE PUBLIC SERVICE FORUM ( IKORODU DIVISION) | Shakiru Seidu ..Abhor discrimination. -Comrade Okeowo ..Bolster only good attitude and be hardworking. -Oba Kasali

It is no more news since the enthronement of HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, that series of changes and development presently being witnessed by the residents of Igbogbo community cannot be over emphasised. There have been series of meetings with technocrats, intellects and strategist who are working round the clock to take Igbogbo to its eldorado.

Another of such forum ensued on Sunday 9th of April, 2017 at the palace of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom where the Kabiyesi played host to the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State Public Service Forum.

Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo, gave the opening prayer for the commencement of the meeting. Shortly after the prayer, Alhaji Abduljelili Abubakri did the proper introduction of the palace Chiefs and some other important dignitaries.

The meeting which was anchored by the P.R.O., Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, Mr Lanre Kuye, saw a vibrant and articulate APC women leader, Comrade Kehinde Okeowo spoke of their previous summit, she urged the King to ensure consistence assistance to the forum because it is of no doubt that so many benefits will emanate from it to promote the audacity of hope of the King.

She further ensured that the King should use his office to enlighten the people to abhor discrimination because it's anti-social and anti-development. Nevertheless, she enjoined the newly constituted Committee of the forum to put the interest of the people at heart and be more committed.

Okeowo also established the fact that the executive  always source for fund from outside to run the forum's projects. She further spoke on the important role played by the forum on Ikorodu Oga, Ayayo day celebration and the coronation of Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali just to mention but few.

However, a tree they say does not make a forest as one of the Permanent Secretaries from Ikorodu division, Dr. Shamsideen Allison sued for fairness and equity among the forum members and to see themselves as the reputable ambassadors of Ikorodu Division.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of finance, Lagos State, Mr Tairu Ogunlewe urged the people to indivisibly united to ensure the development of the town. He equally implored everyone there present to contribute generously towards the progress of the division.

Without much ado, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, appreciated the Exco for their turnout and urged the Ijede participants to be actively involved in the forum's developmental projects.

He unequivocally advised every individual to be proactive and bolster every good idea of the forum which is aimed at the development of Ikorodu division.

On the final note, the King commiserates with the family of late Chief Olorunwo Adeniji, one of the Kingmakers and the Oluwo of Igbogbo Kingdom, while he urged everyone to emulate the good character of the baba.

The event did not end without wining and dining as the King made available varieties of food for the guests.

The event was graced with the presence of Dr. Shamsideen Allison, Mr Tairu Ogunlewe, Alhaji Kamar Olowosago, Engr. Abiodun Dankuwo, Mr Lanre Kuye, Alhaji Abduljelili Abubakri, Comrade Kehinde Okeowo, Alhaji Babarinde Sulukadeen, Hameed Aroyewun, Adeola Jinadu, Mr Idris Adesina Adido, Mr Semiu Olanbiwonnu and Mr Hameed Sholanke.

Others were Abisoye Oredoyin, Mr Ibrahim Mustapha, Mr Oredeyin, Abdul Akeem Arowolo, Abiodun Adeola, among others.
