BABAJIMI BENSON AND iCARE FOOD BANK'S TEAM ARE AT IT AGAIN IN IKORODU DIVISION | Shakiru Seidu Youth should donate their time. -JB Women in Ikorodu Division are supporting. - Mrs Benson

With all sense of decency and honesty, Hon. Babajimi Benson, MHR, has made name for himself which the posterity will forever emulate. The commencement of any laudable project may be very easy but oftentimes, maintenance and the sustainability of such programme usually becomes a life time obstacle. Without any iota of doubt, the above philosophy does not hold water in the presence of the vibrant legislator, Hon. Babajimi Benson.

As usual, hundreds of people were gathered at iCARE Food Bank on Wednesday, 12th of April 2017, as beneficiaries of the food items tagged 'APO ANU' got their own portion of Babajimi's largesse. The laughter on the faces of the beneficiaries cannot be over emphasised as they were showering prayers on Hon. Babajimi Benson and his amiable wife.

Similarly, before the arrival of Hon. Babajimi Benson, one of the Pioneers of the iCARE Team, Mayor Deen Sanwoola appreciated the criticisms of some participants, that such will help the team to improve on the project.

He intimated everyone there present that, they are anticipating increasing the 300 bags of food items to 600 - 700 bags to enable other people to benefit from the scheme.

He equally emphasised that all women are automatic members due to their active participation during 2015 electioneering campaign that saw the emergence of Hon. Babajimi Benson as a great Representative from Ikorodu Division. He thereby enjoined the women to be more tolerant.

Shortly after this, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, arrived and applauded the support of men and women and for believing in him. He seized that opportunity to solicit for their constant support and prayers to enable him do more than what he is giving them.

The wife of the erudite legislator, Mrs Jumoke Benson also tendered her sincere appreciation to the women and wished them well in all their endeavours. Immediately, the distribution of the food items began with smiles of relief on the faces of the beneficiaries.

In fact, Hon. Babajimi Benson MHR, was not left off the hook without being engaged in an interview with Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine.
When he was asked how he has been finding it easy sustaining the project and his advise to the young ones, he said,

"The youth needs to donate their time and energy by looking for a reputable organization to work with if they must achieve success. The millionaires and Billionaires didn't emerge by mere earning salary; they emerge because they work hard for themselves and the best way to start is when you are young. Some of our youth are lazy, they don't want to work hard to add value to their lives", he stated.

While he was at this, he reflected on how he was into making photocopies while he was abroad, sold puppies here in Nigeria to make a living and some other extra things. He further said that he has MBA and MBE, that is, Masters in Business Adminstration and My Bloody Effort for MBE to show that he wasn't a lazy man.

When he was questioned on how he has been making things efficiently sustained, he was so emphatic that the prices of the commodities have gone up astronomically, yet, God has been helping him with the support of his wife and some other like mind friends who share in his idea, knowingly fully well that it's self funding programme.

JB further said that he can't be happy if he can afford three square meals per day while his people can't; he will rather sacrifice all to make them happy.

When Igbogbo/Baiyeku Info magazine extended its questioning to the virtuous wife of JB, Mrs Jumoke Benson, she thanked Mr Shakiru Seidu and appreciates his good work on Journalism in Ikorodu Division.

She equally expressed her satisfaction with the level of support and commitment from the women of Ikorodu Division which beats her imagination. She narrated how they have been packaging the food items and all the rigorous processes, they will have to encounter in order to put smile on the faces of the people of Ikorodu division.

When asked to give a candid advise to the women. She spoke convincingly that women should endeavour to contest for offices in as much as they have the capability to lead, while others should pledge their support to their husband, because behind every successful husband, there must be a dutiful and prayerful wife.

JB's wife also enjoined the people to always support her husband in prayers because God has always been sustaining them and for the good plan her husband holds for the masses to be achievable.
