The last is not heard of the Badoo suspect arrested on Wednesday, 21st of June, 2017 at Igbogbo in Ikorodu division. The Guardian newspaper of Thursday 22nd of June, 2017 conspicuously copied and pasted the report of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Info Magazine on the incident.
It was emphatically stated in the last paragraph of page 13 of the Thursday publication of Guardian Newspaper thus ".....the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous Cole, said there was nothing like a Badoo suspect being arrested. "
This is the height of the impunity and the level of levity the Security agents usually handle matters that bother on the Security of lives of people, I wonder why the aggrieved will not result to jungle justice.
As much as we frown at an act of jungle justice, the Police should not accelerate it. There is a total lost of confidence in our Police Officers disclaiming an incident which led to the destruction of the Vehicle of the newly deployed DPO to Igbogbo Police Station, CSP Lawal which was in my report.
However, everybody knew that it took the effort of the 174 Mechanized Battalion of Nigerian Army, Odogunyan to arrest the situation at the Palace of Adeboruwa of Igbogbo where the angry youths were so desperate to kill the suspect. In that process, the Police Chief's Vehicle was damaged to prevent the Police from whisking away the suspect and to be set free later.
The people of Ikorodu Division are living in grave danger for the fear of compromise on the side of the Security Agents. The IGP, CP and the Nigerian Army should please beam a search light on Ikorodu Division as a whole, perhaps there are powers that be who are behind this dreaded Cult Group called BADOO.
Urgent action needs to be taken to avert a State of Anarchy. In the main time, people should remain calm and be security conscious.
