BADOO: LAGOS ASSEMBLY ORDERS DECISIVE ACTIONS

Hon. Agunbiade S.O.B. the Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, on Monday, 5th June 2017, raised the menace of the Badoo killer gangs on the floor of the House under Matter of Urgent Public Importance.
The House resolves as follows.:

This House:
Condemn the criminal and ungodly activities of Badoo mechanisations in and around Ikorodu division.

Calls on the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State to:

Mobilise other security agencies in the state, to investigate and exposed the sponsors as well as masterminds of the daredevil group and prosecute those that have been arrested in connection with their nefarious activities;

Encourage local security outfit as well as the neighbourhood Safety Corps of the state to commence aggressive and proactive surveillance around ikorodu town and its environs, particularly the new sites; and

Strengthen Area N and J Commands of the Nigerian Police Force covering Ikorodu and Epe axis respectively with men and equipment to tackle the on-going security challenges within the jurisdiction of the Commands;

Mandates the House Committee on Information and strategy to invite Chairman and Principal Officers of the Neighbourhood Safety Corps for interactive discussion to justify their expected security duties in and around the Communities in the State, particularly the black spots; and

Calls on Community Heads/Leaders, the Executive of Community Development Association (CDA) as well as members of the public to assist law enforcement agents with credible and prompt information that will assist in preventing and tackling crime in their communities”.
