LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT ADDRESSED LAGOSIANS ON ONE LAGOS FIESTA 2016

The Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture on Thursday, 8th of December, 2016, addressed the Lagosians at the Governor's Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja, on this year One Lagos Fiesta.

The Press Conference which started on a colourful note, saw the presence of different media houses in attendance including Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine.

The OLF of this year which promised to be Bigger, Better, and Bolder, is to have 500 hours of undiluted fun in 5 locations in Lagos State. The venues include :
1. Agege Stadium
2. Ikorodu Town Hall
3. Epe Recreation Center
4. Badagry Stadium and
5. Victoria Island Bar Beach

According to the Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde,  in his opening remarks, promised that the Lagos State government is doing everything humanly possible to make sure Lagosians end this year on a blissful and entertaining note. Two things will stand this year's edition out, One, it is undoubtedly bigger,. Instead of the five days that it held the last December, One Lagos Fiesta this year will run for eight good days across all the zones,  commencing from Christmas Eve on December 24 till the wee hours of the New Year, he said.
The OLF 2016, which has major component of showcasing the new talents in Lagos State, has has five divisional information Offices across the State to register.

The Acting Commissioner, Tourism, Art and Culture, and also the Chairman of One Lagos Fiesta, Hon Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, promised that the OLF will be a continual project of Lagos State and particularly to discover the new talents in Lagos State.
She assured eight days of good music, spanning several genres such as Hip-Hop, Reggae, Gospel, Fuji, Juju, Oldies and more. According to her, great food, Comedy, traditional and cultural performances depicting the multicultural diversity of Lagos State would be displayed, fun-filled children's corner for all age brackets, indoor games for all age groups.

"Please,  be assured that the safety and security of Lagosians is our priority and to that end, adequate measures have been taken to ensure the security of lives and property throughout the event. We have also made arrangement, sanitation, health and safety concerns." Hon Adebimpe Akinsola said.

At the Press Conference were the Chairman of the OLF and Acting Commissioner, Tourism, Art and Culture, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon Lateef Abdulakeem, Special Adviser on Education, Bank Olemo, Permanent Secretaries, led by Mr Jamiu Adewale Ashimi from Tourism, Art and Culture, GLO representatives and other top government functionaries, were all in attendance.
Among the gentle men of the Press at the Conference were Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine, Channels TV, AIT, Impact Newspaper, TVC, Punch, The Nation, LTV, and other reputable media houses.
