It was an eventful occasion when the 19th King of Isheri Olofin and Awori land, HRM Oba Nurudeen Adebowale Adekanbi hosted the paramount ruler, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom on Sunday 5th of March, 2017, at the Palace of Olofin Adimula, Isheri Olofin Kingdom.
The Chief Imam, Isheri Olofin blessed the gathering with the opening prayer after which the introduction of Isheri Olofin and Adeboruwa Chiefs were done by Chief Sharafa Bello, the Ashosanyin of Isheri Kingdom and Chief Jelili Oduntan, the Balogun of Igbogbo Kingdom respectively.
HRM Oba Nurudeen Adebowale Adekanbi, the Olofin Adimula of Isheri and Awori land, remarks that Isheri Kingdom was established in 1425 AD, the ancient town is the source of all Aworis in the universe. HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali also prayed for Oba Adekambi, Isheri Olofin and Igbogbo Kingdom
High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom on his remark to Kabiyesi, Oba Adekanbi, said the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo came with his Chiefs to thank His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekambi for his relentless efforts before, during and after the installation of Oba Abdulsemiu Kasali to the throne of his forefathers. He established that the good deeds of Oba Adekanbi and Oba Kasali for their community in the past brought them to the throne of their forefathers. He therefore thanked Oba Adekanbi and Ebi Okuselu in Igbogbo for being part of the success story in Igbogbo Community.
The event which was anchored by the popular Yoruba Actor, Lamidi Lawori, saw different cultural display by Gelede Masquerade that entertained the Adeboruwa-in-Council.
The ceremony did not come to an end until the Igbogbo entourage danced to Gbedu Osugbo Drum.
