IBESHE JOINT CDA, HON. NURUDEEN SHOLAJA-SAKA AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, HELD STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON SECURITY CHALLENGES IN IBESHE LAND

All roads led to the Molatori Palace, Owode-Ibeshe, today, Saturday, 5th of November, 2016, where security challenges in Ibeshe land called for questioning.
It was established at the meeting that the peace and tranquility of Ibeshe land had been put to test over a year ago, since the sudden attack by dreaded group called BADOO.

It began with raping of little innocent girls to death, but the approach now is to attack, destroy and kill innocent families. After the release of some members of this dreaded group called Badoo from Nigeria Police net, the attack is now being executed at every 2weeks interval. It was first started at Olu Odo community about 5weeks ago, followed by Oluwole Community attack, which led to the killing of a pregnant woman, while seriously wounded her husband and daughter. Unfortunately, 3days ago, it was the turn of Owode Ibelefun some days ago, which led to another serious catastrophe on a family including an undergraduate student, that are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Ikorodu.

These and more call for attention of any serious concerned Government Agencies as far as security is concerned. According to the Chairman of Ibeshe Joint CDAs, Mr Fredrick Olanipekun, he expressed his disappointment on the part of Lagos State Government for not listening to their yearnings.

On this note, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, who is representing Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, explained the efforts of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Lagos State Government to make sure there is peace and orderliness in Ibeshe Land. He said he had personally discussed the issue with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and that was part of the result of Security Agency at Ibeshe recently. He promised to work more for the people of his Constituency to live in Peace. He however pleaded with the Landlords and residents of Ibeshe land to be security conscious. He expressed shock when he visited the attacked family at the Ikorodu General Hospital and prayed for their speedy recovery. He emphasized more on the urgent need of Police Station in Ibeshe and asked the Landlords to secure their Houses by putting burglaries at their windows.

Some of the Stakeholders in Ibeshe Land that attended the meeting, the likes of Mr Bolaji Osinowo, Major Afolabi, Alhaji Muqtor, and Hon. Sulaimon, called for the support of Lagos State Government to restore peace in Ibeshe Land. They expressed how much strength they have invested in putting a stop to this menace, and promised not to relent their efforts.

Baale Molatori appreciated Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka for his presence and wonderful support given to Ibeshe Land. He promised to further discuss with Olubeshe of Ibeshe, HRM Oba Richard Ogunsanya, and want Hon. Sholaja to do the same.

The meeting which had the presence of Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine was also witnessed by the Baale of Owode, Political Leaders, representatives of CDAs in Ibeshe Land, among others.
