WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPING A 13 YEAR OLD BOY AT IGBOGBO

A woman living at Babalola Aroyewun Street, Igbogbo was apprehended today for allegedly kidnapping a 13 year old boy. The boy who had been missing for 3 days was later found with his mouth and hands tied in the apartment of his mother's friend.

The boy was said to have been coming to that compound to assist her mother's friend to fetch water and do some house chores. For three days,  the boy had been declared missing while the suspected woman and the boy's mother had been going here and there looking for the boy. They had even reported the missing boy at Igbogbo Police Station on Thursday.

It was this morning when the two neighbours living downstairs of the building, overheard strange voices at the flat upstairs. They thereafter decided to run a check on the apartment, but only had access to a flat that had nobody living in it and nothing was found there. However, they decided to call the woman living in other flat, who had left for Oshodi where she sells Clothes, to ascertain whether she had any visitor, because the strange voice was coming from her apartment, but she denied.

The neighbours raised alarm and were waiting for the strangers to come out before the 3 people that were called by the suspected woman came into the compound to check her apartment, they eventually found the boy that had got missing for three days with his hands and mouth tied.

Igbogbo Info Magazine Team was at the scene and interrogated the father of the boy, Mr Sulaimon Adeleke, who expressed shocked over the incident. He said that he established the relationship between the suspect and his wife for unity and friendship sake, but he hardly believe that such a woman could kidnapped his Son for 3 days and even joined them in searching for him.

The head of ONYABO in Igbogbo, Mr Shina Olusanya with his team were at the scene to search everywhere before the arrival of the Police.

The matter is now under investigation at Igbogbo Police Station, while the boy is receiving treatment at Shola Hospital.
